In the afternoon we were taken to the Caroli Bird Sanctuary and put into a boat where we were taken up and down creeks and canals. We saw this amazing boa - in fact we saw three or four coiled up in the trees. We hoped he would stay in the tree.

This ol' house

There are some beautiful old houses in Port of Spain. We were taken on a quick walking tour. This is one of the houses. We saw 7 or 8.

We went down the mountain and some of the sisters went wading. Then we had lunch at "Shark and Bake". There must have been 30 little kiosks like this one that sold shark and bake. A shark and bake is breaded deep fat fried fish served in a deep fat fried bread scone. It was delicious.

Trinidad

We got a chance to have a short vacation. The senior couples were called to Trinidad for a two day training session. That was immediately followed by two days of Seminary and Institute Training. We added two days to the front end so that we could sightsee a little. The pictures here are copied from others. All of my pictures were lost when my computer was stolen. We enjoyed getting to know the other senior couples and really enjoyed the instruction that we received.
