Here is Elder Jordan with his father and sister. They both came to sacrament meeting just before he left. He was not invited to speak and the Branch President didn't even acknowledge that he was there. We were very disappointed.

Remnants of Old Georgetown

 
  These buildings give you an idea of what Georgetown looked like during the British rule.

  Sister Charles makes white pudding almost every Saturday and sells it to friends and neighbors. Elder Langford was intrigued and has been buying it from her every chance he gets. I had visions of fluffy white pudding. NOT!

Mission President

 
Having fun at lunch in Suriname. President Gamiette announced his call to be Mission President of the West Indies Mission. We are thrilled.

  These elders had some fun with us. They came in to teach us how we can help them in their work. They sprinkled flour in their hair so that they would look like seniors.

We spent two days being trained in everything from medical, auto, finance, PEF, humanitarian aid, music, Seminary and Institute to reactivating members. We had some fun singing goofy songs and we ate a lot of food.

These beautiful scarlet ibis flew in to the same trees. The sunlight on their feathers was spectacular.

 
The guide tied our boat to a tree and told us to watch the snowy egrets as they flew to some trees across the lake. They roost there for the night. I got bored after five minutes. We have plenty of snowy egrets in Guyana. There are about three trees on the road to Rosignol where they roost and there are so many of them, you can't see the leaves for the white birds. Then it happened!

 
The scenery from the boat was lovely. We were looking for caymen and blue herons. We saw one caymen and two blue herons but they were too far away for my camera to pick them up.
